Call for Abstracts

The ESCVS 2020 Scientific Committee is pleased to invite authors to submit their abstracts to be delivered at the 69th edition of the International Congress of the European Society of Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery.

The presentation format for each abstract will be determined by the Scientific Committee.
All abstracts will be selected for oral communication or will be displayed at e-Poster situated at the Exhibition Area.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Before starting the submission process, don't forget to check the following submission guidelines.

The deadline for abstract submissions has been extended from December 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020.
Abstracts must be in English and should report new previously unpublished work.
Maximum of 400 words excluding title.
Submissions must include the title, lead author and co-author’s names, affiliation and contact information. The lead author should be the presenter and will be requested to pay the registration fee.
Abstracts should include: Introduction, Objectives, Method and Materials, Results, Conclusion, Conflicts of interest (if applicable)
Please choose a brief title (maximum of 100 characters) that clearly indicates the content of the contribution. Please avoid abbreviations in the title. Abbreviations may be used in the text if they are defined when first used.
The abstracts that will not conform the format may be rejected.

Notification of rejection or acceptance of abstracts together with instructions for presentation will be mailed in March/April 2020 to the address given on the abstract form.

Authorship

The same person may submit up to 5 abstracts regardless of presenting author.
The same person may serve as presenting author on up to 5 abstracts.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
Presenting authors of abstracts must be registered participants.
Registration must be received by the Secretariat by the Early Registration Deadline March 31, 2020 to ensure inclusion of the abstract in order to be scheduled for presentation.
In case of multi-authored submissions, every author must register and pay the appropriate registration fee, regardless of their attendance, in order to get the Conference certificate.

Instructions for Accepted Abstract

Once the abstract selection process has been completed, authors whose abstracts have been chosen for Oral or e-Poster Presentation will be notified.
Please note that only authors having registered for the Congress and having paid the appropriate registration fee will be included in the program.

Oral

Oral Presentation

If your abstract will be selected for the award competition Vascular or Cardiac, you will receive further details by e-mail.

All speakers will participate in a question-and-answer panel in the session.
5 minutes are allocated for oral presentation, 2 minutes for discussion.

Best oral presentations given by young (under 40) researchers will be awarded. Winners will get free registration for ESCVS 2021.

E-Poster

E-Poster (Digital Posters)

All submitted Posters will be projected on flat screen poster display stations which are located in a dedicated e-Poster Area.

E-Poster viewing abstracts will have no specific presentation date and time.
The Presenter may stand by the e-Poster viewing screens in order to present the e-Poster during breaks.
